ASK US A QUESTION ↗
how long Until my order is completed?

Each KooweeeKidz product is made to order by our small production team. Once your order is confirmed, the required materials are prepared and the product moves through CNC cutting, sanding, finishing, quality inspection and packing. Because every item is manufactured with care rather than taken from mass-produced stock, production can take up to 7 working days before your order is ready for collection or dispatch.

How do the pieces lock together without screws or glue?

Most tool-free plywood systems use precision-cut joinery — things like slotted tabs, dovetail-style interlocks, or wedge-and-groove connections cut directly into the panel with CNC accuracy. The wood itself creates the friction and mechanical lock; there’s no hardware to loosen or lose. The key is tolerance — the cuts are very accurate to within a fraction of a millimeter for the joint to hold tight.

Can I disassemble and reassemble this multiple times without damaging it?

Yes, that’s the main advantage of this construction method. Well-designed tab-and-slot joints are made for repeated assembly — think of it like a well-fitted mortise and tenon. What you want to avoid is forcing a joint that doesn’t align, since that can chip the plywood edge. If a joint feels tight, wiggle gently rather than forcing it straight in.

Is the plywood edge safe for kids — no sharp edges or splinters?

Quality marine plywood has tightly bonded veneers, so the edges don’t splinter like construction-grade plywood can. That said, any exposed plywood edge are sanded and either sealed or left with a rounded profile.

Will the joints loosen over time as my kid climbs on it?

Some settling is normal in any wood joint, similar to how a wooden drawer might loosen slightly after years of use. Marine plywood resists this better than solid wood because it doesn’t expand and contract with humidity as much (the cross-grain layers stabilize it). If a joint does loosen, most designs let you disassemble and reseat it — try tapping it back together with a rubber mallet before assuming it’s worn out.

Is it safe if there’s no glue holding it together?

Actually, this can be safer long-term. Glued joints eventually fail invisibly — the bond degrades inside the joint where you can’t see it. Mechanical locks fail visibly and gradually, so you get a warning sign (like a slight wobble) before anything becomes unsafe. That said, always check joints periodically, especially on climbable pieces

Why Marine plywood instead of solid wood for this kind of furniture?

Marine Plywood’s cross-laminated layers make it dimensionally stable — it won’t warp, cup, or crack the way solid wood can, especially in kids’ rooms where humidity and temperature swing (spilled water, heaters, etc.). It also holds a precision-cut joint better than solid wood, which can split along the grain under stress.

What finish is used, and is it non-toxic for kids?

Marine plywood is already treated for moisture resistance, but that’s about the wood core, not the surface finish that touches your child’s skin. We use water based primer and paint during the finishing process, as well as a non toxic sealer for the original options- Child safety is our priority
